Plot Summary:
This book provides the reader with a detailed and informative information about the process of creating a manga. The beginning has details about how to create characters from their faces to the body. It gives explanations of common types of characters in mangas and traits than make them recognizable. It then goes into details about how to create backgrounds using perspective drawing. Interspersed with the author's voice in comic form, the book is entertaining as well as useful.

Evaluation:
Hernandez has put of lot of detail into her book. In addition to providing information on how to make the characters, she includes information on constructing the actual comic, which is often neglected in How-to-Draw Manga books.
