Plot Summary:
Maximum Ride, known as Max, is a fourteen year-old and the leader of a group of human-avian hybrids. They are on the run from The School, the place where they were created and then cruelly experimented upon. The school sends "Erasers," human-wolf hybrids to hunt Max and the rest of her Flock. When one of their own is captured, the Flock must return to the school in order to rescue her. By returning to The School Max learns more about her past and her creation than she ever thought possible. She now has to come to terms with the idea that she was created to save the world.
Evaluation:
Maximum Ride has an ending that keeps the reader wanting more. This book will encourage teens to read the entire series to see what happens.
